SEASONDAY

by Craig Green

Morning sun brings life
like blooming waves of spring
as sleep revolves to wake
the breath that quickens day

An afternoon of growth
reflects the warmth of summer
to lift a flowing heart
by midday's brightest glow

An evening spirit wanes
as weary eyes grow heavy
once resting arms of stillness
have gathered autumn's prize

Renewing night and slumber
rewind life's racing clock
recoiling winter springs
toward the next arise
